Allie was in laundry despair, hunting for a sock that apparently evaporated into the multidimensional sock portal.

She was about to blame her son, when she noticed she was holding the pair’s match in her hand!  It had never been missing, despite her 13-minute insistence otherwise.

She stood there, surrounded by underwear and insight, and thought, “So this is what the books have been trying to tell me...maybe that joy I’m searching for everywhere really is ALREADY HERE!” 

Then she removed a dryer sheet clinging to her elbow and moved on with her day.
